The Rankin ISD Board of Trustees voted to provide school supplies and backpacks for all students. Elementary students will be allowed to bring a backpack of their choosing, if they wish. JH and HS students will be required to use the backpack provided by the district. Questions? Contact your student's campus principal.

Little Devils Daycare enrollment is now open. Forms must be turned in to Paige Lopez at the administration building by Friday, June 30. For questions, please email Betsy Jones at: bejones@rankinisd.net
Enrollment will be determined by the availability of space for your child.
Children will be accepted based on the following priority:
Rankin ISD Staff
Upton County Sheriff’s Department Staff that reside in Rankin
Upton County Staff that reside in Rankin
City of Rankin staff
Rankin County Hospital District Staff
General public
No child will be denied enrollment on the basis of his/her race or religion. We do retain the right to deny enrollment if all of the spots for a particular child’s age group are filled. At that time, the child will be put on the Centers waiting list.
NOTE: If a Rankin ISD staff member needs childcare, the last non-school staff child that was accepted, (in the particular age group needed) will be asked to remove their child from daycare. If the position reopens, you will be contacted as first priority.


There will be a Meet and Greet with new Head Volleyball Coach and Head Girls Basketball Coach Blake Eddleman on Monday, June 19th at 6:30 PM in the High School Gym Foyer. All incoming 6th-12th volleyball/basketball girls and parents are encouraged to come.
Coach Eddleman will introduce himself, his family, and talk about what it will take to have a strong winning tradition in both volleyball and girls basketball. He will also pass out information in regards to communication and summer camps for volleyball and girls basketball.

Due to threat of severe weather this afternoon, Rankin ISD Summer Slam students will be released at 1pm. Buses will run at this time.

Summer Slam 2.0 starts Monday, May 29.
Breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:30 in the cafeteria for PK-8.
PK-8 students need to arrive at the cafeteria no later than 8:30.
PK-5 students will be dismissed from the elementary at 2:30 by the daycare in the parent pick up line.
