Please welcome our new Superintendent Mr. Shaye Murphy to Rankin ISD! Mr. Murphy comes to us from Gunter ISD, where he was the Chief Administrative Officer. He grew up in Slaton, TX and is familiar with small town life and is excited to get back to west Texas roots. He brings 22 years of experience with 17 being in educational leadership. Mr. Murphy believes that a school's top priority must be student learning with a focus not only on academics, but also on the overall development of a child. He comes with a strong value on building relationships with students, staff, and community members. His goal is to see Rankin ISD continue to succeed in all areas and nurture a core based on educating students and providing them with skills to be successful and productive citizens. We are excited to have him not only at Rankin ISD but in the Rankin Community. Please welcome him as you see him around town!
