This week Rankin ISD lost a ray of sunshine. Mrs. Griselda Castillo has moved on to another district to be closer to her family. While we wish her well we will miss her. Her smile, laugh and warm personality made everyone feel welcome. Her love of cooking helped bring the staff together in fellowship frequently. Mrs. Castillo, we will miss you and we wish you well. Good luck in your new life!

Rankin ISD is currently working with the Upton County Sheriff Department to ensure the safety of our students. As of now, the north bound bus routes will run late due to the closures of Hwy 349 and FM 1555 (7 miles). This situation is fluid. We will communicate any information as it becomes available.

The Freshman/Parent meeting scheduled for tonight June 8th, at 6:30 pm has been canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later date. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Gallardo.

Students in Ms. Vicki Templeton’s Research class prepared and delivered end-of-year presentations to address “Who am I?”
In this presentation, students shared about:
* who they are 🧍🏽♀️🧍🏼
* family 👨👩👧👦
* their career aspirations 👨💼👨🏾🚒🧑🏻🔬👮♀️
* their college plans to train for their future careers 🏫
Students in this class have been working all year on responsible research, public speaking, and material/presentation development. 📢📈
These are lifelong skills that students will take with them when they graduate Rankin High School!
