Red Devils win Regional UIL Academic Championship!!!
Several students punched their ticket to State over the weekend. Here's the results from this weekend:
Jr. Renteria - 4th place in Computer Applications
Blake Bunger - 6th place in Computer Science
Macey Knard - 5th place in Copy Editing
Jesselle Marquez - 4th place in Headline Writing
Jr. Eufracio - 6th place in Number Sense
Tucker Kimbrough - 4th place in Persuasive Speaking
3rd place Computer Science team (Blake Bunger, Morgan Tubbs, Jaxon Wyatt, Monse Presas)
3rd place Number Sense team (Jr. Eufracio, Jaxon Wyatt, Dash Davis, Madison Jenkins)
Qualifying for State are:
Cole Cura - 3rd place in Informative Speaking
Ayame Jackson - 1st place in LD Debate
Nic Tellez - 2nd place in Persuasive Speaking
Tucker Kimbrough - 4th place in LD Debate
1st place Calculator Applications team - Jaxon Wyatt (1st place medalist), Morgan Tubbs (2nd place medalist), Alexis Cura (3rd place medalist) & JJ Caudle (6th place medalist)
1st place Mathematics team - Jaxon Wyatt (3rd place medalist), JJ Caudle (5th place medalist), Morgan Tubbs, Alexis Cura
Speech, debate and academics will compete on May 17 & 18.
On May 2 & 3, Elmis Gonzales will present and compete at the State Theatrical Design competition!
On May 4, the OAP cast & crew will compete at the State OAP Festival. Those students include:

"It's that time of year: STAAR Testing! To try to help get your student in STAAR Spirit, Rankin Cheer is offering to make and deliver snack packs for your student the day before their exam. If this is something you would like to participate in, please fill out the form and return it with the exact amount of cash (or check) inside. Our cheerleaders will drop it off to their classroom the afternoon before their STAAR test, and wish them luck! Each snack pack will also come with notes of encouragement for your student.
Due to late delivery of the envelopes, we are asking that you return your orders no later than April 12th** so we can make sure we have enough time to order all of the necessary items.
If your child did not receive an order form, but would like to participate, extra order forms have been left in the High School front office.
