Rankin Independent School District

On Monday, October 14, thirteen seniors attended a Ram Preview Day at Angelo State University. During this time, students chose 5 different sessions to attend based on their interests. Some of the session choices included: Business Kinesiology History Financial Aid & Scholarship Nursing Health Science Professions Psychology Music, Art, & Theatre Teacher Education Mathematics Social work Agribusiness, Agricultural Science and Leadership, Animal Science, Food Animal Science Engineering Commercial Aviation Criminal Justice Guided Campus Tours This was a wonderful experience for these students as it gave them the opportunity to experience what college life entails. Students had to select their sessions, locate their building (using a campus map) and find their classroom within a 15 minute time frame. Many of our students finished the day feeling excited about their future and a little more confident in their ability to independently navigate through college.

CALLING ALL RED DEVIL FANS: It's a big competition weekend for our Red Devils! Let's get ready to be loud and proud! Red Devil Football plays a big District Game Friday Night and needs a loud crowd! Saturday at 1pm, our marching band is putting on the Best Show in Texas at San Angelo Stadium. Be there to cheer them on! Also on Saturday, our Lady Devils have a huge District game against state ranked Marathon! It's their last home game, Senior Night, and Pink Out Night!! Come get a FREE burger during the tailgate and cheer our girls on to victory!!! Don't forget Paint the Streets on Sunday at 2pm!! It's almost Homecoming Time!!! Let's show our DEVIL PRIDE!!!!

Our Blackout Pep Rally is this Friday. We will be having it in the practice gym. We have ordered glow sticks and LED sunglasses to give to students. We will hand these out as soon as we can. Parents are more than welcome to purchase more items for their children, but Cheer will not be selling anything this year. Go Devils!
