Student of the Month:
2nd Grade - Lily Bolton- Lily is new to the district. She came in quiet, but easily slipped into the roll of a Red Devil. She has had perfect attendance so far this year, comes to school prepared, has a positive attitude everyday, and a dedication to learning. She never complains when asked to complete a task. She shows respect to all her teachers and is a good friend to her peers. Lily is definitely a great addition to our Red Devil family.
4th Grade - Clark Steele- Clark is such a joy to have in class! He always has a bright smile and brings a positive attitude to everything he does. He works hard on his assignments, enjoys learning, and gets along wonderfully with his classmates. We love how he always tries his best and isn’t afraid to ask questions when he needs help. It’s truly our pleasure to be his teacher.
JH- Gunner Lopez- Gunner is a very pleasant student. He takes care of business, and always speaks in the hallways. I enjoy having Gunner in class. He makes everything he does important and does so with a great attitude. He's the kind of kid who can effortlessly brighten your day. Gunner is a great student. He works hard and is willing to help whenever I need him to. Gunner is a great student, and an even better kid. He's kind, hard-working, and always so helpful! Gunner is a great student, great attitude, and a great kid. He is very up beat, wants to help in whatever way he can. He is a good model of what a student should be. I am confident that he would represent Rankin ISD in the right manner in whatever school activity he is involved in.
HS- Brystall Stokes-Brystall is a hard-working student and athlete. She has a wonderful attitude, and is always willing to help! Brystall is one of the most positive student's I have ever taught! She has the sweetest demeanor and a super work ethic! Brystall is always smiling and seems to be a very positive and up beat student. I think she is great influence on other kids around her.
Employee of the Month- Denay Skaggs- Denay Skaggs is our Staff Member of the Month! As our Academic Counselor, Denay has gone above and beyond to support students, staff, and families with grace, dedication, and a commitment to student success. Whether she's helping a student map out their future, guiding them through challenges, or simply offering a listening ear, Denay brings warmth, wisdom, and a steady presence to everything she does. Her door is always open, and her positive impact is felt school-wide. Denay’s tireless work behind the scenes doesn’t go unnoticed. She keeps students on track, supports teachers, and makes sure no one falls through the cracks. Her ability to juggle so many responsibilities with professionalism is truly amazing. Congratulations, Denay! This recognition is well-deserved, and we’re so lucky to have you on our team.
Teacher of the Month- Carrie Templeton- Carrie Templeton is our teacher of the month, she is an outstanding SPED teacher whose dedication, compassion, and creativity make a lasting impact every day. Carrie goes above and beyond to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and capable of success. Behind the scenes, she handles the mountain of paperwork, IEPs, and documentation with the same care and excellence she brings to her classroom. Thank you, Carrie, for your heart, your hard work, and the difference you make in so many lives. We are lucky to have you at Rankin ISD!
TCB AWARD: The Take Care Business award is awarded to students that go above and beyond to be an exemplary Red Devil. This month there were 7 students recognize for the TCB award: Avery Clanton, Wyatt Dean, Bentlee Keith, Paislee Keith, Brooke Phillips, Axsandra Ramirez, and Allie Skehan.
