Shoutout to April’s Stars! Student & Teacher of the Month Recognized by the Board

1ST GRADE - Zachary Herring

Zachary Herring is a walking smile. Every morning, he has the very best attitude and is genuinely glad to see his teachers and his peers. His excitement for school is contagious, and his consistent enthusiasm is something the world needs more of. Zachary is a diligent student and keeps working hard when subjects or assignments get tough. From crocodile adventures, to his pet catfish named Whiskers, his love of life and sharing his experiences with us through the art of storytelling is something we both look forward to everyday. We both have really enjoyed having this special young man in first grade this year. He has a piece of both of our hearts. Congratulations, Zachary!


4TH GRADE-  Isabella Garcia 

Isabella is a great student and has grown tremendously throughout the school year! She takes initiative in class and has really taken on responsibility for her own learning. She does not give up during difficult tasks. She is always smiling and has a positive attitude. She is a great example of a Red Devil student. Way to go, Isabella!


7TH GRADE- Samantha Kimbrough 

Samantha is a wonderful student. She always has a great attitude. She is willing to help new students with our daily routine and other things. --Lanell Trussell

Smanatha always does a great job in the classroom.  She is super creative in her writing and reads constantly.  Such a joy to have in class, and always makes me laugh. --Trent VanMeter

12th Grade- Nathan Gaddis 

Nathan Gaddis is a hard-working and dedicated individual who consistently goes above and beyond in everything he does. His strong sense of responsibility ensures that tasks are completed with care and precision. Nathan's kind and respectful nature makes him a valued team member and a positive influence on those around him. --Betsy Jones

Nate is awesome! He is polite and respectful, and friendly to everyone. Nate works hard to do his very best at everything he does, and does so with a great attitude! Nate is definitely a leader on campus, and is a perfect example of being Red Devil STRONG. --James Wyatt

Nathan Gaddis is such a positive light on our campus.  He works so very hard in and outside the classroom.  I don't think that I have ever seen Nathan without a smile on his face.  He also goes above and beyond when writing articles for The Pitchfork. --Tana DeGraffenreid

Mrs. DeGraffenreid works diligently and tirelessly to ensure our students are prepared for their academic futures by holding students to a high standard of achievement and accountability.  We are very happy to have Mrs. DeGraffenreid teaching, guiding, and mentoring Rankin High School students every day.  Again, thank you Mrs. DeGraffenreid for your high quality professionalism with all students.  We are grateful for you!
